FRIENDS OF THE IDF TEXAS REGION IS PROUD TO CELEBRATE THE BRAVE WOMEN OF THE IDF

We are honored to host three female combat soldiers who will share their stories of strength and perseverance. First Sergeant (Res.) Yonat D. will share her riveting story of serving as a paramedic on the front line in Gaza during Operation Pillar of Defense; Sergeant Emma B. will speak about her position in the Military Police and remember stories from her grandfather who served in the 6-Day War;  and Lieutenant O., a celebrated fighter pilot with the Israeli Air Force.

We are proud to host  two former female combat soldiers and current IMPACT! scholarship recipients (sponsored by generous donors from Texas) who will tell you how the gift of higher education is changing their lives.

We are humbled to extend a special honor to Tamar, the first religious female navigator in the Israeli Air Force. After Tamar finished her two-year service, she signed up for an additional nine years to continue serving her country as a combat navigator. After numerous dangerous and exhausting missions during Operation Protective Edge, Tamar’s commander singled her out as the outstanding fighter of her squadron. However, Tamar was never able to receive the honor. We will be joined by Tamar’s mother Arielle, who will share her painful journey of losing a daughter and finding the strength to heal through FIDF.

Don’t miss this extraordinary evening with the soldiers whose lives you have touched!
